Staylefish has recently been working closely with film director, and good friend, Drake Birmann. For the last month, Drake has been tagging along with the band, compiling video footage in the studio as well as on and off stage. Last week he stopped by the studio to check out what Staylefish have been up to as well as discuss plans for upcoming projects and videos. The legendary Korean rock band, YB (myspace.com/ybrocks), is made up of four guys; Yoon Do-Hyun (vocals), Park Tae-Hee (bass), Kim Jin-Won (drums) and Hur Jun (guitar). Since their debut in 1994, the band has released eight albums and has been honored with numerous awards in Korea. Among some of the most memorable awards, YB received a World Peace Music Award in 2003 for their contribution towards the improvement of human rights. In addition, their anthems, "Oh Pilseung Korea!" and "Arirang" were the soundtrack for Team Korea's participation in the 2002 FIFA World Cup as a Final Four team. YB will be playing this years Vans Warped Tour on the Kia Kevin Says Stage. See them play live 8/15 - 8/23/2009.

Indonesia pop punk band Superman is Dead is wrapping their run on the Kia Kevin Says Stage in Cleveland Ohio on July 9th. SID actually stumbled together in '95, drawn by their common love of Green Day and NOFX. Their influences soon extended to the punk 'n roll genre. The band won a few music awards. MTV Awards for Best New Artist 2003, AMI Awards for The Best New Artist 2003. Nominated again in AMI Awards 2007 for Best Rock Album. October 2007 they did an amazing Australian tour, 8 cities, 16 gigs, 33 days with their strong D.I.Y work ethic. |
